Reaching for my favorite food is my impulsive response when I was feeling down and bored. Without realizing that this is in fact one of the biggest diet blunders to sabotage my weight loss goal. But I was able to recognize my emotional habit and took control of my diet. That’s the topic that we are going to discuss here, Please read.
For sure many of us are seemingly guilty of eating for reasons rather than hunger where we normally turn to food in comforting ourselves most especially when we’re tired, stressed or depressed, this is often called emotional eating. If that is the case, it’s time to admit and learn why you are inclined to seek food for comfort.

Your weight gain is only an indication yet it is not the source of the problem and once you don’t figure out the resolution, losing weight will be a struggle forever. For the reason that whatever things that disturb you is inducing you to keep on eating when you are low in spirit.
One perfect example is a dear friend who went through a gastric bypass surgery last year, in her mind getting skinny would eventually make her a happy person. Granted that she looks great after the surgery but her happiness was temporary and depression is still in her system as she started stuffing oneself, this time from binge drinking. Remember, she had her surgery so she cannot eat that much because her stomach was being shrunk to the size of a baby’s fist.
Her trouble was plainly channeled into some other habit-forming because she had not resolved the roots of her problem. However, the real issue turned out to be her thirst for attention from her husband therefore she turned to food in satiating that void. That only mean one thing, her decision of getting a bypass surgery didn’t solve her problem at all.
One lesson we can learn from this is that you cannot use weight loss or any surgery to deviate from pain therefore, before going forward to your quest for weight loss you should examine and ask yourself if this is certainly about weight or something more intricate issue.
Overall, try to discover why you are doing it and you can start from there to solve the root of your problem.
